BLAW Midterm~

Had the BLAW test today, despite despair of the previous day.

Supercute thing of the day: Karl and I stood up at the exact same time and tied for first in turning in the test. Even funnier, we were both killing time before turning it in and just happened to decide on the same moment. We kinda chufflelaughed as we realized and went down to turn them in. <3

Trauma~

Trauma caught her third  mouse today! The first one she caught was obviously traumatized and after I took it outside, its eyes glazed over and I fully expect it to be dead but I never went to check because I didn't want to know. This was several weeks ago- before she got an abcess that popped. I kept her in for a week and a half.

The day after, Monday, I found the second one, I don't know when she brought it in exactly, but it was hiding out between my bookbag and a textbook and I only discovered it as I moved my bag. He was alive and hyper and hard to catch. But I sucessfully relocated him outside in the backyard, and he hopped off.

The third one was today. Did she find a nest of inexperienced mice, or something? She was out for several hours, and then comes tromping down the stairs loudly. I turned around to look at her, and there she was, gently nudging a grey lump with her paw. This mouse was easier to catch, as it could only hide against the wall and the stairs, and just as hyper and healthy looking as the second. He was relocated out the front door, since Trauma took exceptional interest in what I was doing with her prey, and wondering why it was trapped in the plastic top cover of a DVD stack and a paper plate. Her question was asked with batting paws.

So, Trauma either found mice who are bad at being mice, or she's an inexperienced mouser with talent and no idea how to kill her prey. I wouldn't be surprised at that, since she's been an indoor cat all her life before me.

I wonder if she's bringing micies home to apologize for costing me vet $$, or as a way to bribe me to not lock her inside again....

I want a week off from school.

Three of my classes are crap (ENTP, INNOV, MUS), and take away time from the other two non-crap classes, BLAW and GDD...and the only class I like this semester is BLAW.

I lack so much motivation.

So, Trauma scared the shit out of me today.

I came home from school (about an hour or so after posting my last post,) go in my room, and noticed watered-down blood stains on the bed where Trauma sleeps. She wasn't home, so I couldn't check her, so I continued with other things. I knew she wasn't dying immediate, because I'd seen her this morning when I'd fed her and she had all her limbs.

When she waltzed in, I stopped to look her over, and didn't notice anything at first. Then I remembered that she had come in at like midnight, smelled really bad and cleaning herself. I sniffed her until I could regionalize the bad smell (her rear,) and looked closer. And freaked out. She had a hole. At the base of her tail to the right. I called the vet, and went.

I was almost to the point of freaking out in the vet's office, but she's ultimately ok. Apparently, she just had an abscess about the size of the tip of the vet's finger (my thumb?) that no one noticed, and it just so happened to pop on my bed last night. She's under house arrest (no outdoors for two weeks~) and on a time release anti-biotic. She's going to go stir crazier than me.

I saved 5% on my bill though, because they had a little trivia thing at the front window with two questions, and I texted Karl in my fret-time as they looked at Trauma to ask him the answer. I cheated, but oh well~ The dog revered by Chinese Emperors for like 2,000 years were the Pekinese.Yay for $3.13 cents saved!

Trauma is now an $120 cat.

Drew on my white dress shirt during class today with a pen. It's starting to get ratty, and I was bored. Guy next to me said I should try to sell it on E-bay. He apparently sold a snowball to someone in Arizona for $100 once. I am inspired.

Also told me that Disney sued his middle school because he drew Mickey Mouse in third grade for an art project, and they put up his class's pictures for an art fair. Disney is evil for it, not sure how they won the court case- they were done no harm, it was a 3rd grader who drew it and it wasn't for commercial use.

Karl and I went to Fatburger yesterday, along with Cameron and Cameron's girl Ellen, and Karl 'won' (his words) 'cause he got to buy me food~ It was very good, and I let him get away with it. Gasp.

Should prolly find a job soon.

Studied for the GDD class today. My professor used 'avoid like the plague' in one of the readings he wrote for us.

What prompted this post is that I found it odd how still common the phrase is, even though the plague is pretty much non-existent for us here in the States.

Also interesting to me that Warhammer's online universe is wracked with plague and other nasties.

I'm going a bit stir crazy. Kinda want to get shwooshed off someplace for a day with no warning, but likliehood is slim.

Midterm week.
